Cisco Solutions Engineer

Due to customer demand and growth, Cerium Networks is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cisco Systems Engineer to join team. Candidate must be a self starter and effectively interact with customers, account managers, staff and management. Position requires independence and accountability as well as a cooperative effort. The ideal candidate would be a reliable, bright, articulate, professional and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast paced professional and performance oriented environment.

The engineer will be focused on the installation and support of the following systems solutions;

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Skills/Responsibilities
    1. Cisco IP Communications including:
      • Unified Communications Manager
      • Call Manager Express
      • Unity / Unity Connections
      • Unified Contact Center Express
    2. Cisco Routing and Switching
      • Quality of Service standards
      • Multi-VLAN networks
      • General routing and switching security
    3. Cisco Wirelss Solutions including:
      • Wireless security
      • Autonomous APs
      • LWAPs with Cisco Wireless LAN Controller
      • Wireless QoS for IP Communications
    4. ARS
    5. Microsoft Active Directory
    6. Windows Server administration, implementation, and support
    7. Network infrastructure
    8. DNS/DHCP
    9. SIP

Preferred Experience / Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Cisco solution implementation and experience preferred
  • 4 year degree preferred
  • CCNA, CCNP, CCVP (CCNP-Voice) preferred
  • Network and communications systems trouble shooting experience
  • Experience with Avaya VoIP or MS Lync a plus
  • Excellent analytical ability and communications skills
  • Interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Customer service skills and experience
  • Strong organization abilities
