Sales Director

Cerium Networks has an immediate career opportunity for an energetic and experienced technology specific sales director. Responsible for managing an existing group of sales professionals as well as recruiting and developing new account managers as we expand our presence in the Northwest. This position reports to the v.p. of sales who has grown a very successful team and requires additional management support.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, develop and manage sales professionals
- Establish consistent training and development programs for sales professionals
- Manage direct reports by developing and measuring realistic sales activity objectives
- Generate and meet sales forecasts
- Develop and manage key customer relationships with account teams to secure future business
- Lead account team to ensure customer satisfaction by effectively utilizing company and supplier resources
- Develop compensation and bonus objectives which motivate career sales professionals
- Maintain a high level of communication technology expertise through continuing education, training and certification
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years demonstrated management experience and success
- Specific communications industry experience including;
- IP telephony
- Contact centers
- Video solutions
- Unified messaging applications
- Enterprise network security solutions
- Data center and storage solutions
- Layer 2 & 3 data networking infrastructure
- Proven track record in successfully building and developing a sales team
- Previous success as a sales professional
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills required
- Avaya, Cisco or key competitors product knowledge
- High moral, ethical and professional standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Administration/Science
- Master of Business Administration – desired
- Travel – 30%
